What Is Airdrop Allocation Amount
The Airdrop Allocation Amount is the total number of tokens you may receive from a giveaway event. This number is based on how many tokens you held before and after a specific event. It helps you see your share of the total tokens being given away by a project.
How Airdrop Allocation Amount Is Calculated
Formula
Allocation = (PreHoldings × (PreRatio ÷ 100) + PostHoldings × (PostRatio ÷ 100)) × TotalPool ÷ TotalWeightedHoldings
Where:
- PreHoldings = Your tokens before the event
- PostHoldings = Your tokens after the event
- PreRatio = Percentage weight given to pre-event holdings
- PostRatio = Percentage weight given to post-event holdings
- TotalPool = Total tokens available for the airdrop
- TotalWeightedHoldings = Sum of all users' weighted holdings
The calculation starts by turning your ratio percentages into decimals. Then, it multiplies your token balances by these decimals to find your weighted amount. This weighted amount is divided by the total weighted holdings of all users to find your share. Finally, your share is multiplied by the total pool to estimate how many tokens you get.
