What Is Final Score

The Final Score is the total marks you might get in the SSC JE exam. It adds points for right answers and subtracts points for wrong ones. This number helps you see your net performance after the exam penalties are applied.

How Final Score Is Calculated

Formula

Final Score = (Correct × 1) − (Incorrect × 0.25)

Where:

  • Correct = Number of correct answers (count)
  • Incorrect = Number of incorrect answers (count)

The exam gives you 1 mark for every right answer. It takes away 0.25 marks for every wrong answer. To find the total, you multiply your right answers by 1. Then, you multiply your wrong answers by 0.25. Finally, you take the second number away from the first number.

Why Final Score Matters

Knowing your estimated score helps you see if you might do well enough to move to the next level. It shows you how guessing can hurt your total score.

Why Accuracy Is Important for Ranking

Answering too many questions without knowing the right answer can lower your score. Because of negative marking, wrong answers take away points from your right answers. It is often better to leave a question blank if you are not sure, rather than losing marks.
