Dry Volume = Wet Volume x 1.54
Cement = Cement Content x Volume

Total Aggregate Volume = Dry Volume - (Cement/1440 + Water/1000)
Fine Aggregate = Total Aggregate x Fine Ratio
Coarse Aggregate = Total Aggregate x Coarse Ratio

- Cement Content = kg of cement per m³ from mix design
- Water-Cement Ratio = water weight divided by cement weight

- Coarse Ratio = portion of aggregate that is gravel
First, the wet volume is changed to dry volume by multiplying by 1.54. This extra amount accounts for air gaps between particles and material lost during mixing and pouring. Next, the total cement weight is found by multiplying the cement content by the volume. Water weight comes from the water-cement ratio. Then, the cement and water volumes are subtracted from the dry volume to find how much aggregate space is left. That space is split into sand and gravel using the fine and coarse ratios you provide.
